He is survived by his wife of 41 years Tammy (Monroe), son Zachary (Rosana) of Arlington, TX, daughter Hannah (John) Smart of Vine Grove, KY, Grandchildren Elijah and Ava Pratt, Christian and Dominik Smart, brother Mark (Cathie)of Oak Ridge, TN and a sister Lori (John) Rosetti, Chesterton, and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and one uncle (Don Pratt).

Ron was an avid animal lover. From an early age, he would find injured animals, bring them home to nurse them back to good health.
