Actress Luckie Lawson and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Villa Gardens restaurant in Accra has revealed that being an actress is not as easy as many will think recounting her personal experience in the field.
Luckie who has featured in a number of Ghanaian movies, revealed that there is much to acting than meet the eye though patrons of movies are ignorant of the struggle actresses and actors go through to produce a good movie.
Making an appearance at McBrown Kitchen at the weekend, she said “while I was in the US I saw and felt it was that easy and said I was coming down to teach Ghanaians movies but when I tried it was when I realized it was not as I thought”
Luckie Lawson who is born to a Ghanaian and Togolese parents also revealed she left Ghana in her teens and return later to pursue a career in acting which is not rosy at all.
“I left Ghana at age 14 to the USA where I schooled a little and returned in at 22 with the hope of pursuing a career in acting which was not easy at all. Four other siblings including two boys and two girls of mine are all based in the US”, she revealed.
