Kofi Boakye, professionally known as Kofi B. is a 23 year-old, 2x Emmy-Nominated musician, producer, and actor born and raised in Akron, Ohio. Kofi B's creative approach to music has garnered the attention of millions globally on social media. In 2018, Kofi joined the ranks of 'Black-ish' star Anthony Anderson, R&B songstresses Lauryn Hill, Jennifer Hudson, and Alicia Keys in winning the Silver medal in the NAACP ACT-SO National Competition.
While music remains at the core, Kofi's accolades extend beyond the big stage. In 2021, Kofi launched his media production company, BlaBoak Ventures, and in April of 2022, Kofi and BlaBoak Ventures received two Emmy Nominations from the Great Lakes Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for interviews and musical content produced under his company.

Career

[edit]Former member of Ghana Academicals, he scored 8 goals in 15 League matches 2005 and was member of the Ghana Premier League All Star team 2007.[4] Boakye began his career with Corners Babies in 2003. He later went on to join Ghanaian Premier League club Liberty Professionals FC[5] aiding the club in taking the WAFU Cup and President Cup.[6]
Heart of Lions
[edit]In 2008, Boakye joined Ghanaian Premier League club Heart of Lions playing for two seasons.[7][8] He also assisted the club in qualifying for the African Confederation Cup.
Asante Kotoko
[edit]Boakye later signed with Ghanaian Premier League club Asante Kotoko.[9][5] He played for two seasons with the premier club and later became the Captain of the team. They went on to take the MTN FA Cup and qualified in the African Confederation Cup.[10][11][12][13][14]
