    Former UST star turned broadcaster Denise Tan enjoying self too much to think of comeback

    DENISE Tan isn’t ruling out a comeback, but it may take a while before a club can lure her away from the commentary box and back onto the court.

    Not a few league insiders believe Tan can still hold a candle against the current crop of setters, but the former University of Santo Tomas star believes she is a more a capable broadcaster than player at the moment.

    “You know what, marami na ang nagtatanong sa akin niyan,” Tan told Spin.ph when asked about a possible return to the playing court.

    Tan was one of the stars at a time when volleyball was starting to regain its popularity in the late 2000s. While she has retreated to a broadcasting job by joining Sports5's coverage of the Philippine Super Liga, her batchmates like Angeli Tabaquero continue to shine in the league.
